My 21 Day Water Fast Journal
On February 15th 2018 I decided I would like attempt a 21 DAY WATER FAST.
So I decided I would like to blog about it and share my experience in this journal.
Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional nor am I a nutritionist. This is just something I decided I would like to experiment with and see how things go. Do not attempt to do this without speaking to you Doctor first.
So, I will be updating this journal as I go, including my weight, symptoms etc.

Age: 32
Starting Weight: 228.6lbs
Height: 5’11
DAY 1: February 15th – 228.6lbs
Woke up today feeling great, no symptoms whatsoever. I think It’s because I had did a 7 day fast last week. First thing I do when I wake up is my weigh-in. Had a shower and head to work. Throughout the day I felt pretty good a few hunger pangs but it was more like when I smell food I wanted to try it. Nothing major! Made it through day 1.. easy peasy!
Day 1 ended amazing because I got this beauty for my Valentines day. She’s only 9 weeks old and her name is Roxy.


DAY 2: February 16th – 225.2lbs (3.4LBS DOWN)
Woke up feeling super excited about my new furbaby. I still felt great with no symptoms. But I did however have that metallic taste in my mouth. It’s a familiar taste from when I did the 7 day fast, so I just brush my teeth as usual. Did my weigh-in then head off to work as usual. Nothing out of the ordinary so that’s great.Today I also got my period. I was worried about fasting while on your period but surprisingly other than a few little cramps. I was fine!I usually go to bed before 10PM daily as well.
DAY 3: February 17th – 221.0lbs (4.2LBS DOWN)
So today is Saturday! I woke up again feeling normal, took a sip of water and had forgotten that I haven’t done my weigh-in yet but oh well. I like to do my weigh-ins before I drink any water. Today I took my new furbaby to the vet for her first check-up and run some errands. And totally didn’t realize until about 2pm that I haven’t had any water because I was driving around, so I picked up a bottle of water at McDonald’s. Since I went to the drive-thru to get food for my partner.I did a lot today and I experience a mild dizzy spell and that was my fault I was playing with Roxy (my pup) and I stood up too quick so I got light headed. But that was okay. So remember when you fast to be careful when you get up.
DAY 4: February 18th – 220.0lbs (1.0LBS DOWN)
Happy Sunday! So, today I woke up and did my weigh-in as usual. Drove to the grocery store with my partner (but I didn’t go in, I stayed in the car). That’s about all I’m going to do today. I came back home and relax and play with my pup.But today my partner made the most delicious smelling “Roti” dinner. OMG! I almost broke my fast so I could taste some, but I didn’t give in. My Willpower has been getting amazingly strong. YAY ME! I felt proud of myself that I didn’t give into my temptations.
DAY 5: February 19th – 217.8lbs (2.2LBS DOWN)
So, today is Monday and I’m back to work again. I have no pain, no symptoms, just a normal Monday on the job except today is a “Family Day” a new holiday here in my city. And It’s very very quiet here at work and on my way to work. So I’m loving today.
DAY 6: February 20th – 216.2lbs (1.6LBS DOWN)
So today I woke up feeling good again. However I had a few dizzy spells when I went to feed my Pup. Sometimes I forget that I have to get up slowly after bending. Honestly I think today for me was the worst I had no energy, yet I still decided to clean up my place. I felt like i wanted to quit today but I didn’t. And I’m glad I didn’t! Willpower baby :).
DAY 7: February 21nd – 213.8lbs (2.4LBS DOWN) YAY!! – 1 WK DOWN
I felt a lot better today. I had a littler more energy than yesterday. I didn’t do too much today just went to work came home and relax. I love to watch or read about other people who are also doing water fast, it gives me a lot of motivation.
DAY 8: February 22nd – 212.2lbs (1.6LBS DOWN)
Woke up today feeling a lot better and more energy. Only thing my mouth & throat felt really dry. I think It might be from Dehydration. So I’m going to up my water intake.
DAY 9: February 23rd – 210.6lbs (1.6LBS DOWN)
HAPPY FRIDAY!!! My favourite day of the week :). I woke up today like any other normal day, I felt fine. Only thing I remember I had agreed to work for one of my coworker today. So I’ll be doing my 8hr shift then I’ll stay for his 8hr shift. That’s a 16hr shift…..So, I decided lets see how this go. I finished my 8hr shift, which is from 8am to 4pm then I stayed on from 4pm to 12 midnight. I started to feel it after around 8pm. I couldn’t wait to leave. But, I made it and I survived. YAY me!
DAY 10: February 24th – 209.6lbs (1.0LBS DOWN)
Today I woke up feeling tired, that 16hr shift did a number on me. Because I got home little after 12am and went straight to sleep. I had to get up at 6am to give someone a ride to work. Then I came back home and slept until 10:30am. Did I mention That I don’t normally work on weekends. But I’m planning a vacation trip to Jamaica for my birthday, so I’ve been picking up extra hours at work.Anyways, I have to work today and tomorrow again for that same coworker. This time its a 12hr shift each days. Normally, I would be okay working long hours but fasting and working long hours is a different thing. Anyways, I made it to work at 12pm and dreading the next 12 hrs. But I made it through today as well. A little tired but, I didn’t die and that’s all that matters lol
DAY 11: February 25th – 207.8lbs (1.8LBS DOWN)
Today I was able to sleep all the way through to 10:30am then woke up and got ready for work. I’m still exhausted…and working on Sundays is just not my thing but I got up weigh myself, shower and head off to work. Here I am regretting accepting these shift. But I know when my paycheque comes I’ll be smiling. :).I got to work, and it was very quiet today. Nothing much happened, I ended up watching all the YouTube videos about food and it was surprisingly satisfying lol Then I went on Sephora and order over $480 in makeup. That’s what boredom does to you. Anyways I made it through the 12hr shift and although I was tired I made it home and head straight to bed.Also, I want to add that today I changed my water from the Evian bottled water to Distilled water because I read it was better while fasting as it pulls out toxins. I must say this is my first time having distilled water and eww I hate the taste of it.
DAY 12: February 26th – 206.8lbs (1.0LBS DOWN)
HAPPY MONDAY!. Back to my regular work week, but those long hours I worked over the weekend really wore me out. And all day at work I was watching the clock waiting for 4pm so I can get out of there and go home to take a nap. The day seems to went by slower than normal and as soon as I got home I played with my baby Roxy for a few minutes then went straight to bed. I woke back up at 8pm. Then I stayed up until 10pm then went back to sleep. That about sums it up for day 12.
DAY 13: February 27th – 206.0lbs (0.8LBS DOWN)
Woke up feeling a lot better today. I’m thinking about my last day of the fast which is next Wednesday. I am less than half way through my fast and I cant wait to completed my 21 day and celebrate. I have 8 more days to go! I really can’t believe I made it this far, but I’m so proud of myself and what I have accomplished.Today a coworker asked if I lost weight. I’ve only told one of my coworker about my fast. So it was nice to know that someone noticed. A few days ago as well my supervisor said I look thinner. So That’s progress!
DAY 14: February 28th – 204.8lbs (1.2LBS DOWN)
Today was really a regular day for me, I had low energy but I had nothing that was very noticeable to write down in my journal. So I went to work, then went home and lay on the couch until it was bedtime. That’s basically what I do when I get home most days. I love to watch other Youtubers water fasting journey and I also love to binge watch Mukbangs and People who travel and try street foods all over the world. One of my Favourite to watch is Mark Wiens. I love his videos!
DAY 15: March 1st – 203.6lbs (1.2LBS DOWN)
Today was a very interesting day to say the least, I woke up thinking today was Saturday. Keep in mind today is Thursday. Then I felt like I wanted to poop, so I went to the toilet but nothing. Also, my last bowel movement was on February 14th. The day before I started my fast and since then I’ve only peed and peed and nothing else.I then went to brush my teeth and low and behold I felt like I wanted to Vomit. I don’t know what this means, but I started to vomit and it was greenish in colour. I don’t know if anyone know why that happened, but after that happened I finished brushing my teeth gargle some mouthwash and felt okay after. I didn’t have that burning sensation or bad taste in my mouth. So I finished getting ready and left for work.I was thinking I honestly cant stand the taste of the distilled water I switched to. I know they say it’s supposed to draw out toxins and all that but, the taste is just gross to me. I’m thinking of switching back to my Evian water. I can’t see myself drinking this waster all the time.I would say today i felt the worst.
DAY 16: March 2nd – 202.0lbs (1.6LBS DOWN) Happy Friday!!!!!!!!
Today is not only my favourite day of the week but I’m also leaving work 4 hours early because last week I worked 4 Hours extra for a coworker so now he has to come in 4 hours for me. YAY!!! I’m also feeling weak and low energy so I’m happy I got to go home and rest. I drove home lay on the couch and nap.Since I changed my water to distilled water, I find that I’m drinking less water because I cannot stand the taste and it makes me feel sick, So I might switch back.
DAY 17: March 3rd – 200.8lbs (1.2LBS DOWN) “THE DAY I BROKE MY FAST”
Today was a really crappy day for me. I had a doctors appointment for my pup and I felt like I didn’t want to get out of bed. I manage to get up and lay on the couch, I didn’t want to go out but I got up and went to my 1:20 appointment. I even got there late.After I got back home I just felt so sick and I decided today will be the day I break my fast. I thought about for awhile and think, “but people might think I’m a failure”. But then I thought to myself. I did this for ME and no one else. Just because I share my story doesn’t mean I’m here to impress anyone. So I won’t torture myself or hurt myself just to impress someone.I put my kettle on and made myself some bone broth and sip on that for the rest of the evening. This was my first time having bone broth. It wasn’t so bad.
DAY 18: March 4th – 199.8lbs (1.0LBS DOWN)
When I saw 199.8 pounds on the scale I was amazed. I’ve been stuck in the 200+ for so long and I’m just so excited to lose all this weight. I have my Keto Cookbook ready to continue my journey. My journey doesn’t ends here so I’ll keep you all posted on how things are doing.Follow my blog if you aren’t already and also subscribe to my YouTube channel. I will be posting a video on my channel this week when I get a chance. It will be the same as my 7 day water fast video. So keep a look out for that.Again, I want to Thank you ALL for all the motivation and help throughout this journey. It wasn’t easy but trust me it was well worth it. I feel like Super woman. My work uniform is not strangling me and my blazer is not bursting out like the hulk lol I can lift my arm with ease and I feel much lighter. Jackets that could not fit are fitting now.
